I am in need of some good advice...My hair has been colored numerous times and about 5 months ago I had highlights put into my dark brown hair and they came out terrible. They were very brassy and made my hair very dry. I went to a different stylist 2 months later and she suggested putting a color over the highlights because taking out the highlights and re-dyeing would be too damaging. The color came out ok but now 2 months later my hair is extremely dry, dull and the highlights are showing through. They are not blonde like originally but like an auburn color. I just cut 3 inches off to make it look a little more healthy and now just want to color it to a dark brown without totally killing it anymore. Should I go make to a salon or do an at home color without the amonia or peroxide
?????Please help me.....My hair is half curly half straight and I straighten it with a straightening iron 2 times a week, so the less damaging option is greatly desired!!!!
