Don't feel discourage if you receive no answer. This forum mainly addresses Thermal Reconditioning Hair and its issues. What is it? It is a Japenese Hair Straightening System, which permenantly makes hair straight...And Please understand that it is NOT a perm or a relaxer. So be very careful.
Unfortunately not many thermal reconditioning are done on African-American (AA) hair because of poor result. The biggest reason is that AA hair texure is too resistent to the sytem. But you have an excellent chance if your hair is soft and fine, and is in good condition. Thicker hair may come out a little stiff, rather than shakeable.
But if you are interested in this system, then it is very advisable, regardless of your ethnic background, that you know and understand the whole procedure, and you must only allow very experienced hairstylist to do your hair, Especially !!! stylist who, in your case, understand African-American hair like Tonya Newman, who is located somewhere in Florida. So far she is the only one I recommend doing your hair( though there are few) because she is very familliar with your hair type and has done many African- American hair as well as hair of various types that yeilds excellent result every time. She received nothing but great reviews. Another salon in Columbus OH called CityCut may be worth looking into, the salon also receive great reviews with great team of stylists who also do AA hair. I will leave the web link below.
