If you have come to this site on a web search for beauty or weightloss products -- please do not call us to ask about those products. We do not sell them!

We recently have been receiving many phone calls and emails from people who read posts about a particular product on these discussion boards, and then call us because they think we may somehow sell or be involved with that product.

We only sell Lamas Beauty shampoos and skincare products. For a listing of products we sell, please visit our homepage.

Please do not call us about other products that people may talk about on these discussion boards. Our Customer Service department will not be able to discuss any products with you other than Lamas Beauty products. While people here may discuss or express opinions about other beauty or weightloss products, we have no information or connection with any products but our own, so please do not call us about those other products.

Thank you.

What I don't understand is why your stylist would want to change you from a TR to a BKT if you are happy with your hair.

1) what are the pros of BKT?
A BKT can be done on any type and condition of hair. It coats the hair and can make the nastiest hair feel nice.
2) why should I get a procedure done which lasts much less than TR?
I would only recommend changing your process if your hair was in poor condition, and even then, I would possibly suggest doing a BKT over your TR, or I would recommend that you use the BKT support products.
3) is the formaldeide in BKT (however little) safe and is BKT safer or at least as safe as TR?
BKTs do not contain formaldehyde, they have a derivitive that has a ton of names. ALL of these create the same vapors when heated.
The only time it is not safe is when the liquid is heated either through blow drying and or especially, ironing.
This vapor is not a big deal for a client who is not exposed to it all the time.
The concern is for the stylist. That is why I always use a source capture system and an air purifier. Every stylist should.
Once the product has been fixed to the hair, there is no problem.
As of now, the technology of the rinse out/ same day BKTs is no different than the 2, 3, 4, day BKTs. The sooner you rinse it out, the shorter the amount of time it will last.
I hope this info helps.
