PLEASE READ:

If you have come to this site on a web search for beauty or weightloss products -- please do not call us to ask about those products. We do not sell them!

We recently have been receiving many phone calls and emails from people who read posts about a particular product on these discussion boards, and then call us because they think we may somehow sell or be involved with that product.

We only sell Lamas Beauty shampoos and skincare products. For a listing of products we sell, please visit our homepage.

Please do not call us about other products that people may talk about on these discussion boards. Our Customer Service department will not be able to discuss any products with you other than Lamas Beauty products. While people here may discuss or express opinions about other beauty or weightloss products, we have no information or connection with any products but our own, so please do not call us about those other products.

Thank you.

Subject: lowering temp on coppola keratin treatment
Date: March 23, 2010 at 5:53 pm PST

My hair is very course and thick but has some damage from color and heat. My stylist says that it's o.k. to lower the temp. on the iron to 300 when performing the service on color treated/heat damaged hair. He uses coppola.

However, in the past when I asked the last person who did a BKT on me (she used Marcia) she said that a BKT would not work on me unless the full 450 was used.

Also, i've read that BKT needs extreme heat in order to "crystalize" -- that it will leave a hard residue on the hair if the iron's not high enough.

I would feel much better about doing another BKT if i knew the temp. could be lower. My ends already end up being to stiff after BKT, but this could have been due to a prior Japanese.....Currently, I only have Japanese on the bottom 2 or three inches of my hair, but the whole head feels somewhat brittle.

please advise !
