Very interested your response to BKT. I have exactly the same issue that you have getting exact details on the ingredience within these products. This system is very new to the UK and whilst I am obviously interested in the products I am concerned for the safety of my clients and myself plus would love some exact training. Do you have a Utube posting ? The two companies I have investigated are La Brasiliana and Global just because they seem to be the big players out here. Firstly, Global, I emailed them and asked them to confirm that there products do not have Formeldehyde or Ether and they emailed be a picture of the back of the bottle!!! I said, is the email your way of saying that is does or doesn't ? They said thats the ingredience list we have. Very vague! They do advertise there products as being formeldehyde free but now, through there strange vagueness, whether they really are. Next La Brasliana, I called there distributors in the UK and they told me it does not carry formeldehyde. I asked the the hairdressing supply store staff and they have told me that they have been informed by the company that its 'all natural'. I asked another supply store and they said it didn't have formeldehyde. I decided to call there bluff and oh I thought that was the brand that did? and the supply store director said oh yeah it does but only 2%...what??? I then tried to add myself as a member on the their website, it went to a default screen. So I thought I would email them as I also had application questions, it bounced back undeliverable. There is no-one on their forum group either Its driving me crazy lol. I have a suspision that no one really knows. The manufacturers must know, but what seems to be fed to the distributors, salons and clients is another kettle of fish. You mentioned that you can tell if a product has formeldehyde straight away, I was wondering what signs to look out for ? I am going to look up the chemical names for ether and formeldehyde to try and be more aware but like you say its been hidden in the 'fragrance'. As a user someone who wants to use this product I should have the option to make an informed decision on the facts, and then decide if I or my clients want to use to.
We tested La Bralinia yesterday, my client has a medium thickness, shoulder length bob, over processed. I used the 60ml suggested and followed the system to the letter but at the end it didn't look amazingly shiney it looked more like the hair was slighty over loaded. Is 60ml for long hair, short hair, medium hair ? Can it be recified in 4 days when I wash it for her ? I did try and ask La Brasliana but email bounced again! Would so appreciate in put from you as it sounds like you know your stuff, I love your honesty its so refreshing in this industry.
Would absolutely LOVE to hear from you!
