If you have come to this site on a web search for beauty or weightloss products -- please do not call us to ask about those products. We do not sell them!

We recently have been receiving many phone calls and emails from people who read posts about a particular product on these discussion boards, and then call us because they think we may somehow sell or be involved with that product.

We only sell Lamas Beauty shampoos and skincare products. For a listing of products we sell, please visit our homepage.

Please do not call us about other products that people may talk about on these discussion boards. Our Customer Service department will not be able to discuss any products with you other than Lamas Beauty products. While people here may discuss or express opinions about other beauty or weightloss products, we have no information or connection with any products but our own, so please do not call us about those other products.

Thank you.

From: dry scalp (
Subject: dry scalp after bkt
Date: May 11, 2009 at 4:01 pm PST

I had color/bkt 11 days ago and on Saturday (two days ago) I noticed my scalp was starting to flake.

I had noticed quite a bit of tingling/stinging when the bkt was applied, but the stylist assured me that this was normal and as long as it wasn't burning, it was o.k. I would say it wasn't exactly burning, but it was somewhat uncomfortable.

This stylist is different than my normal one, but he is somebody who is highly-recommended on the board and is very experienced/knowledgable in all forms of straightening.

Anyway, once I noticed the flakes, I did a deep conditioning treatment, and they seemed to subside. The treatment was formulated for hair -- not scalp-- but it seemed to wash away most of the flakes. My scalp feels a bit itchy and dry, but not red and irritated. I still see a few flakes, but not as many as I did before the treatment.

I would like to get my scalp back into good condition as soon as possible and would like to know if anybody (stylists or others) could recommend a good scalp treatment.

The formula that was used on me was the higher-formaldehyde one (AGI-Max). I am wondering if this could have caused the flaking. Another thing that comes to mind is that the color that was used on my hair (Miss Clairol) was too harsh. I researched it and it is a salon brand (I did not know that Clairol made anything other than box brands) but I'm not sure if it is a gentle one.

My hair felt very soft and bouncy when it was first washed/dried(same day), but now it feels a bit dry and stiff.

Any insight anybody could offer would be much appreciated.

Thank you
