From: Dry Hair (220.127.116.11)
I just had my third NanoMax treatment and it is starting to look a little better. Still -- think much of the improvement comes simply from having it blown dry and ironed at a low heat, which I'm afraid to do myself.
I would say that it helped a bit with the chemical damage (it feels less porous) but not so much with the natural texture issues.
I would definitely like to get a BKT in the near future, but I'm afraid of either putting too much protein in my hair or burning it with the 450 degree iron.
Anyway, I think I'm going to wait a month or two before doing the BKT or at least until I feel sure my hair will be o.k.
The salon that did the NanoMax also does Marcia BKT. I asked the BKT stylist which she preferred - the original or the chocolate. She said that she ordered the chocolate and tried it on some of her clients who had already done the original. She said they all felt it did not work nearly as well and now she no longer uses it.
In contrast, when I spoke to the person who did my last BKT, she said that her clients all love the chocolate. She felt that it works particularly well for my hair type -- course, thick and wiry.
So ... I would really appreciate any feedback about the original vs. chocolate, especially regarding how it works on course, wiry hair textures.
