I actually did read the discussion between the Tanagra Distributor, the Nanomax Distributor and the ColorNation salon owner (moderator).
What I took from the discussion is that NanoMax is similar to Tanagra but that it is an upgrade to it in that it offers more options (moisture and shine, in addition to protein).
The salon owner who moderates the message board (Andrew, I think, is his name) seems to prefer NanoMax to Tanagra.
I don't know anybody who's had either process done, so I can only go by what I've read, but it does sound like NanoMax, if nothing else, offers more options.
Good luck to you, and let me know what you think about the difference between the two when you get the Tanagra done!
FYI: Here is what Andrew (the moderator/salon owner of ColorNation wrote in response to Gerald (a distributor for Tanagra) and Mark ( the distributor for NanoMax who responded to you):
Thanks again for your update it appears we can summarise thus:-
* Nanomax was developed by one of the orginal partners in Tanagra.
A reasonable man might then think it logical to call Nanomax an upgrade on Tangra's abilities even if it officially isn't? Like a Mini Cooper to a Range Rover could be seen as an upgrade. They aren't from the same company and may not be built for exactly the same purpose but the Range Rover has extra features and allows you to do more?
Obviously we have an 'axe to grind' because we're now promoting Nanomax in the same way that you have an 'axe to grind' in having a Tanagra distibutorship which you may have spent a lot of money on and which may not now have much value should Nanomax been seen to be a superior product.
Unfortunately customers won't worry about who is right or wrong just which product works best and gives the most options. It's similar to the concerns of Biolustre who've also contacted us about discussion on the forum upset that their product has not been favourably reviewed by us.
I think we have set the record as straight as we can and it'll now be up to the public to decide.
In the UK for now Nanomax is the only option available.
