Subject: Thanks Leslie for posting about Liscio Crystal straightener. r/o

I hadn't been here in weeks but just decided to pop in this morning before I went to get my TR touch up. I just so happened upon a post where you mentioned Liscio Crystal straightener. So I looked it up before I left.
When I got to the salon I asked them about it and they said they're really loving it. After asking a few more questions we decided together that this would be a good idea to try on my hair.
Just a little background, my hair is extremely thick, frizzy, afro like and resistant. They had to use the old cream formula on me because the lotion one wasn't strong enough.
Anyway, so far I love it. Of course I haven't had my first shampoo yet. But my hair is definately shinier.
My TR stylist has very limited English. He is from Japan. So I have a few questions for you.
I noticed that they did some things different with this new formula. First the protectants they used were creams. They put 30 on my previously TRed hair and 60 on the ends. They didn't put any on the scalp. Then it seemed that when they applied the TR cream they combed it almost all the way through my hair. Also there was no heat used this time.
He also told me that this new one will not overprocess hair.
Is that correct? Is this new formula done differently?
Again thank you for posting about it!!!!
