Most BKT's do contain some percentage of formaldehyde. The Coppola treatment has aldehydes which is supposed to be a little different. The Global treatments have ether. All of the treatments have some sort of bonding agent to make them work since they do not enter the cuticle. They work on the surface of the hair which is why the treatments work best of more porous hair. If your hair is healthy enough I would recommend TR, CDR, or Smooth Control TR.
