Normal hair growth is about 1/2 inch a month, so in 2 1/2 months you should have around 1 1/2 inches up to 2 inches of growth. During the time that you cannot wash your hair you do not work out right? The hair is to be completely dry which includes sweating. As far as I know sweating will not make hair grow. If your roots are not curly beyond this 2 inch guideline this is completely normal. Hope this helps.
