If you have come to this site on a web search for beauty or weightloss products -- please do not call us to ask about those products. We do not sell them!
We recently have been receiving many phone calls and emails from people who read posts about a particular product on these discussion boards, and then call us because they think we may somehow sell or be involved with that product.
We only sell Lamas Beauty shampoos and skincare products. For a listing of products we sell, please visit our homepage.
Please do not call us about other products that people may talk about on these discussion boards. Our Customer Service department will not be able to discuss any products with you other than Lamas Beauty products. While people here may discuss or express opinions about other beauty or weightloss products, we have no information or connection with any products but our own, so please do not call us about those other products.

If a keratin treatment says "formaldehyde free", that does not mean it has nothing in it. If you are looking for a smoothing defrizzing treatment, it will have something in it to make it work. that is either forms of formaldehyde or ether.
I am very frustrated in the companies that advertise that their products are "formaldehyde free". They do it in a way that implies that it has nothing else in it. It implies that it is safe or safer than the other treatments. It is deceptive. This goes for the Caribbean Dream Relaxer as well as Pravana keratin Fusion.
They advertise that they contain no formaldehyde. WHY would they have formaldehyde in them anyway?????? they are a chemical process.
Don't get me wrong here... they are great products, but I find it confusing for many stylists. I have received many calls and emails from clients and stylists that have had very bad experiences because they believe some processes to be all natural and free and safe of "bad" stuff. They are shocked when the hair is fried or breaks off.
KNOW WHAT YOU ARE USING!
It is increasingly frustrating for me to explain to each client who calls me, the differences in each product, because of the way things are promoted to the clients. They are usually quite confused because someone has tried to sell them smoke and mirrors. BE HONEST TO YOUR CLIENTS.
The same goes for stylists.
The average stylist believes exactly ONLY what the manufacturers tell them.
For instance, ORGANIC hair coloring. This drives me crazy. If the color is permanent or if it lightens, it has chemicals in it that alter the hair. Organic hair color is just hair color with organic ingredients.
If anyone out there can offer alternative information about this topic, i would love to hear about it.
I did a consultation for a client who said her stylist only used organic coloring on her hair so that her hair would stay virgin!!!!
her hair was colored and bleached. WHAT!!!
There are also stylist out there that tell their clients that they use only color to lighten their hair, then they mix it with bleach. This is a big fat lie. Using bleach does matter when it comes to any texture change chemical service.
Sorry for going on and on.
