Subject: need hair cut advice
Date: July 22, 2008 at 9:12 am PST
I need a recommendation for the best method to cut my hair.
It is very thick, TR'd and extremely straight. Right now, it's medium length (hits my shoulders) with a few very long layers.
My issue with my hair is that it feels very stiff and bulky. I know it needs some texturizing but layers end up looking "stacked" because my hair is so very straight.
I've consulted with several different stylists and have gotten lots of different advice: razoring, thinning, point cutting. I'm just not sure what will work best. All of them seen knowledgable. I have tried point cutting before and in my experience, it made my hair look too choppy.
My main concern is that I want to give my hair more movement, but at the same time, I want it to look smoothe and not choppy.
Any advice would be much appreciated.
