There is always a risk if a stylist is inexperienced using a product. I would look for someone more experienced especially if she is charging $650. This seems expensive unless you have hair down to your feet. LOL. Usually there is not a huge risk as far as damaging your hair since keratin treatments do not altar the internal bonds of the hair. The biggest risk is that you wasted your money if it doesn't work. The product does have aldehydes and formal which are somehow different (I didn't major in chemistry), which according to the company are not as harmful. The fumes are not as strong as the full formaldehyde formulas. Hope my mumbling helps.
