I'm not sure if I would suggest flying in to Hayoto. I did the same. Took a train in and I was running only a few minutes late, and 15 minutes after my appointment had started, the first of the morning, the called threatening to cancel and charge me the full fee. They said that the styles had another appointment even though he had told me that my appointment was for 4 hrs. Total bs. Then once I got there about and hr or two into my apt he took another client and had an assistant work on me. Really not professional. I didn't want the assistant to work on my hair, but the other client insisted that she work on hers so basically I got screwed. The assistant and stylist switched back and forth but the other girl complained so he basically stopped coming over and the assistant ironed almost all of my hair. I'm not sure if its damage or natural puffiness, but the very front of the assistant side is slightly different. Its not very big, but I notice so what can I say. Plus there is a sign that says there is a free haircut with straitening. It had the price of Tr with the different levels of professions, ie regular staff all the way up to Hayoto. Of course since there was a sign I didn't ask how much the hair cut cost. In the end they charged my $60, and it goes up from there depending on who cuts your hair. I said something and they made up a few different bs answers. First it was free for continuing clients, then it was for clients who have the process done after July. It was clearly and old sign, and even if it was for July there is no reason to have it up in May. They did an ok job, but its not worth the headache. Plus it takes months to get an apt. Also I asked if they had a wait list and they so no. So either they are lying or they don't have one. Either way that is really sketchy and after the whole experience wouldn't go back there. They tried to make small talk to make up and seem nice, but the headache really wasn't worth it. This is my first time having TR done and I think the assistant may have damaged my hair. I have virgin hair which was pretty healthy. Now, even after the cut which was uneven and sloppy, i have split/ damaged ends. I fought all the products they recommended, but I'm still unsure. I'm really not sure what to say. I went to them bc they had good reviews. My hair is really straight, but Ive had better cuts for $20. I'm really split on the idea. Of cheaper places they are probably the best, but it still cost me over $400 and when I was looking at the incorrect sign I noticed that I was actually at the lowest end of the pricing scale. If you go do your research and ask about how much everything cost. It kind of upsetting bc for the most part all they do is straightening, and they are making a ton of money scamming customers who wont do anything bc they have to go back there. Good luck

I'm a student and I don't have a lot of money so a $100 makes a difference to me. I guess if you live in Manhattan and make lots of money a $60 or $80 haircut isn't a big deal, but I would have waited and got one 2 or 3 days after the TR.
