I have been going to ECLIPS in Mclean, VA. They say they specialize in TR. Have had a couple of different stylists (Kelsey, Michelle H., Char, Tiffany). My hair is single color processed and has remained the same since previous TRs. My hair type is curly (loose ringlets)/frizzy but controllable with good products to manage frizz.
The first time Kelsey did it was the best - however when I went back to her a year later, it was not the same. She tried to redo and then fried my hair. Michelle was next using Grund products and it just left my hair a frizzy mess. Since then have switched back to the liscio and Char and Tiffany have worked on my hair; however, I still have to use a flat iron to get the frizz out.
A little more detail about last time... Stylist, Tiffany, did one side and assistant did the other. Both sides looked beautiful after process before I had first wash but could feel a difference between both sides. After first wash my hair was frizzy on both sides but the stylist side would blow out straight and iron smooth - the assistant side felt rough and kinky, would not blow out straight and although would iron straight did not feel smooth - that side ended up with a lot of breakage. Tiffany said this time around she would do herself and not use an assistant. She has been doing TRs for several years now, a few times a week. I seem to be the only problem child. I am hoping you can give me advice on what I can discuss with my stylist or who might be good in DC metro area that I should switch to. My appt. is scheduled for June 2.
In the end, I would give anything to be able to get caught in a rainstorm, go on a water ride at an amusement park or go swimming without having to rush back indoors to manage frizzy/kinky hair.
Thank you again for all your time and willingness to help me out! I cannot tell you how much I appreciate!!!
