If you have come to this site on a web search for beauty or weightloss products -- please do not call us to ask about those products. We do not sell them!
We recently have been receiving many phone calls and emails from people who read posts about a particular product on these discussion boards, and then call us because they think we may somehow sell or be involved with that product.
We only sell Lamas Beauty shampoos and skincare products. For a listing of products we sell, please visit our homepage.
Please do not call us about other products that people may talk about on these discussion boards. Our Customer Service department will not be able to discuss any products with you other than Lamas Beauty products. While people here may discuss or express opinions about other beauty or weightloss products, we have no information or connection with any products but our own, so please do not call us about those other products.

My advice is to cancel that appointment.
You only have one chance to get your first straightening and you MUST find someone who is an expert.
It sounds like your hair is healthy and strong. You will not be pleased with your stylists choice.
Research others in your area. Set up consultations. Get references, call them. Look at their portfolio of before and after pictures.
Any one who specializes in these services will have all of the above.
Don't ask how long they have been doing it, ask how often.
Paul Mitchell is a sodium Hydroxide based relaxer. Your do not want that used on your hair!
I have many many clients who have regular stylists who cut and color their hair. They come to me for their straightening services and see their stylist for the rest. I develop a relationship with the client and their stylist. It is a very professional way to do things and I admire their stylists for being honest about their lack of ability to do the service. They are looking out for their client by being sure to encourage them to go elsewhere for a service they are not experienced in.
I would be very concerned about a stylist who does not feel that way.
I would also suggest being honest with your stylist about all of this.
Tell them that although you like their ability to cut your hair, you would prefer to go to someone who has the experience necessary to ensure a good result for your hair.
