If you have come to this site on a web search for beauty or weightloss products -- please do not call us to ask about those products. We do not sell them!

We recently have been receiving many phone calls and emails from people who read posts about a particular product on these discussion boards, and then call us because they think we may somehow sell or be involved with that product.

We only sell Lamas Beauty shampoos and skincare products. For a listing of products we sell, please visit our homepage.

Please do not call us about other products that people may talk about on these discussion boards. Our Customer Service department will not be able to discuss any products with you other than Lamas Beauty products. While people here may discuss or express opinions about other beauty or weightloss products, we have no information or connection with any products but our own, so please do not call us about those other products.

Thank you.

In Reply to: Re: TO HAIR DRESSERS QUESTION ON BKT posted by Denise Kingsley on April 29, 2008 at 3:00 pm:

The BKT's and Keratin TREATMENTS are not to be considered to be straighteners. They are treatments that seals/infuses keratin into the hair shaft; resulting in shiny, manageable hair.
Formaldahyde is used in many products that we use everyday. Formaldahyde is a preservative. In these type of treatments, when heat comes in contact with the product and if the company contains/uses formaldahyde, then the gas odor comes into the air. That's why masks are required and some have special machines to suck in the fumes. Other companies uses aldahydes (a derivative of formaldahyde)and process them so that the gas odor does not come into the air and no mask is needed.
The formaldahydes and the aldahydes preserves the keratin in the hair. The keratin and ironing technique temporarily straightens the hair. The preservatives used keeps the longevity. That's why it lasts between 2-5 months. When you add other chemical services before the treatment you get a straighter result.

If your stylist want a product that does not put the gas odor in the salon air I can give him/her the name of a product that is safe.
