thanks for the response!
to answer your questions:
it is attached to a netting, but the holes are very tight/small and the unit completely covers the crown of my head. it has a plastic-ish border where the bond is attached to my head.
i still have some of my own hair, which is mostly straight. but since it's thin all over, i've resisted doing any kind of processing to it. if it's gentle enough, i guess i could go do my own as well.
i've recently talked with my stylist and the owner of the company that provides my hairpieces. they were somewhat familiar with BKT and are very excited to see the results from les's offer to test it out. their only concern is that since the hair has been processed, most of the cuticle has been removed and they assumed this would effect the results of BKT. have the units you've worked with had full cuticles or reduced? is this a valid concern?
you mentioned the Tanagra Nanokeratinization alternative. i'm intrigued by this option, as i usually wear my hair with some curl/body, as it seems to offer a more natural look and disguises breakage (though the possibility of sleek straight hair is very inticing). Does it provide the same benefit of increased manageability, just lacking the straightness?
thanks again for your help!
