LamasBeauty.com | Back to Discussion Board
If you have come to this site on a web search for beauty or weightloss products -- please do not call us to ask about those products. We do not sell them!
We recently have been receiving many phone calls and emails from people who read posts about a particular product on these discussion boards, and then call us because they think we may somehow sell or be involved with that product.
We only sell Lamas Beauty shampoos and skincare products. For a listing of products we sell, please visit our homepage.
Please do not call us about other products that people may talk about on these discussion boards. Our Customer Service department will not be able to discuss any products with you other than Lamas Beauty products. While people here may discuss or express opinions about other beauty or weightloss products, we have no information or connection with any products but our own, so please do not call us about those other products.

I was also concerned about that article. I did check with my chemist and was told that the product must be mixed. Marcia Teireira says to shake the bottle. I was told that the product can separate and some ingredients will rise to the top. I believe this is the case with the test results. I am not sure what procedure was followed for the testing. I am assuming that since the results were high at 3.4%,as opposed to the 2% we were told, that the test solution was not thoroughly mixed. It may not have been mixed when the sample was poured into the bottle for testing, then if it was not mixed again, it could be an even more separated version resulting in a higher number.
It is amazing how we cannot trust these testing methods either.
The article was to sell magazines. Think of how it started, gas masks, etc etc etc.
This is not the salon environment. I called Allure and told them about safely performing this procedure with the fume extractor, but they were not interested. It is a much better horror story to tell how scary it is and why would crazy women do this in the name of beauty.
On the other hand I do believe that it is important to always check out the products and the ingredients ourselves. For years we have been sheep, believing everything the manufacturers tell us.
Any hairdresser that comes to this board is not a sheep. They are here to learn. That is why I am here. The stylists and clients here provide me with an incredible amount of new information everyday and everyday I learn something new.
Recently I learned that an ingredient called polyquaternium followed by a number, can be a multitude of ingredients hidden by that name.
In other words, a number is given to a string of ingredients. This is where common names are hidden by manufactures. Now, not all poluquaternium solutions are bad. But, it is our job to check them out and find out what the ingredients of that solution are.
I hope I have answered your concerns.
I will continue my crusade to make sure we are always are sold the truth. Yes, I meant sold.
