Subject: Help after Perm?!
Date: September 28, 2007 at 9:10 am PST

i got an ozone perm about a week ago - after i had a digital perm the week before.

my hair is really coarse now..and kinky. i've never had hair like this, so i'm at a loss when it comes to caring for it.

right now, i use bed head curls rock (shampoo/conditioner/amplifier). i shampoo every 2-3 days (as i usually do), condition every day b/c i'm concerned about the dryness.

but how the heck do i style this mess? my waves are small and look very wavy when it's wet, but flatten out by the time it's dry and it's a mess. i also use a shine serum. i don't dry my hair... here's what i do basically:

-shampoo
-condition & comb
-rinse
-wrap in a towel
-apply serum and amplifier w/ hands (just fingers)
-twist sections and scrunch

then i just leave it alone. by the time i got to work today, i had twists, but the ends look gross. like.. hay or something. they just don't curl. so i rewet my hair and now it's crunchy. i've had a bit of a crunchieness issue w/ that amplifier - but i hear it's the best.

what am i doing wrong? i've also tried sleeping on it - it looks worse. lol
