PLEASE READ:

If you have come to this site on a web search for beauty or weightloss products -- please do not call us to ask about those products. We do not sell them!

We recently have been receiving many phone calls and emails from people who read posts about a particular product on these discussion boards, and then call us because they think we may somehow sell or be involved with that product.

We only sell Lamas Beauty shampoos and skincare products. For a listing of products we sell, please visit our homepage.

Please do not call us about other products that people may talk about on these discussion boards. Our Customer Service department will not be able to discuss any products with you other than Lamas Beauty products. While people here may discuss or express opinions about other beauty or weightloss products, we have no information or connection with any products but our own, so please do not call us about those other products.

Thank you.

Global Keratin Treatment has 5 different formulations, 2 with formaldehyde and 3 without.

The ingredients in the Max Liss Keratin are
Distilled water, hydrolyzed keratin,silicon extract,polyquatemium 44,citric acid,creatina,hydrolyzed wheat protein,keratin extracts,mineral oils and cacao extracts,

The Coppola people have been VERY resistant to releasing any list of ingredients at this time because they are still in the formulation stage. We have been given the product at different stages (they are bringing us a bottle of the newest formula today). I do not know whether the earlier versions had formaldehyde or not. We have been assured that the newer formulas do not.

The smell is totally different with these products with no lingering cloud. There is still a chemical odor. I have been told the active ingredient in the Global is ETHER (mineral oil). I always do a internet search on the chemicals contained in any new product before we use it in the salon. I am very comcerned for the health and safety of my staff and guests. The best info I have been able to find is that in small doses the ether is safe.

That being said I agree 100% with Denise about the fume extractor .There is not enough info at this time to say one way or the other about the safety of this or any Keratin Treatment. The only way to be safe is to remove the fumes from the shop. That is why we are not attempting to replace TR with the Keratin Treatment but add it as a treatment for clients who need extra conditioning or who could not previously thermal

We are currntly working on a fusion of a curl reducer and pure Keratin to see if we can get the ultra condition, permaqnent straightening of a Thermal and NO health risks
I will keep you posted.
Vinnie
