I am so sorry you had such a bad experience with the dishonesty and prices of the salon. Maybe, this is why the salon was so empty. The BKT usually is priced between 250 and 400 depending on the hair on the location of the salon. Promises of wash and wear hair should not be made since BKT does not change the internal structure of the hair. Many of our clients do say that it is wash and wear but it depends a lot on the porosity and texture of the hair. Your hair should be much easier to manage and take care of now. I am not sure why you cannot have TR anymore unless your hair is very damaged from the home color. We do color treated hair everyday in our salon. It is always better to have salon color if possible because it doesn't damage the hair like some drugstore colors can since a lot of them have metallic salts. If you must use home color, do roots only. Don't let a few bad salons/stylists ruin your image of a great BKT or TR, there are wonderful, honest stylists out there. I see them on this site all the time.
