well an ibs provider highly recommended them - saying they had many years of experience and were from LA. my hair wasn't ever checked.. they just put it on and went to other customers. i was in front of a mirror, but to the side of it.. so that i couldn't see what they were doing. after she was done, i asked her to take some pics for me.
my hair was taken off the rods and then i sat there for about 5 mins or more while they finished up w/ another customer. then she came back, put the plastic rods in my hair and then put the solution on. i would say the second solution was on for 15 mins or so.
they never indicated how many total they had done, but i didn't ask either. there were no before and after pics. they gave me a ton of magazines to read and i showed them what i wanted. i even brought in pics of the curl type i wanted and told her that i didn't want tiny curls, but not big ones either - right in the middle.
i'm definitely going to have to contact them. my hair is just plain straight in some spots. i spent way too much money to end up with hair like this :(
can you tell me a proper procedure for this type of thing (i.e. plastic rods ok? solution before/after?). that way i can go in and maybe explain what needed to be done. they were surprised i was so knowledgeable to begin with (not regarding the process obviously) but i have been reading up a lot on digiperms. unfortunately there is no specific outline of how it's done.
do you think i will have any damage done to my hair if it's redone? i spent the last 2 years growing out my hair (it was just below mid back) and work hard to keep it healthy. i don't want to damage it, but i don't want to walk around w/ a bad 80's style perm either. lol
