Subject: HELP! Digital Perm not so curly...
Date: September 16, 2007 at 9:59 am PST

i got a digital perm on saturday. took 4 hours, but i spent about 2.5 reading magazines in between getting my hair done b/c they were super busy.

they started with some nasty solution.. i sat with it under a dryer for about thirty minutes then it was washed off. then they put a bunch of conditioner in my hair and left it in there for a long time. they came back, sprayed my hair with water and then cut it. i was later attached to the machine.. i think for about thirty minutes. total. it was really hot at first and then really cool. when i was done they took the machine off and put my hair in rollers and put some other solution on there. i sat for a little while longer and then they washed my hair. she told me not to dry it or anything but since i had a wedding to go to, she would. she used a diffuser and then curled my hair w/ a curling iron.

so.. why was the curling iron even necessary? my hair did look cute after she used it. i also washed my hair, used a comb - did not dry - and now it's just kind of flat. there aren't any curls really. some waves. not at all what i expected, especially since she told me that the curls would be tighter the first week and fall more flat after. if that happens, i imagine my hair will be straight again.

so is this just part of the process? what should i do?
