If you have come to this site on a web search for beauty or weightloss products -- please do not call us to ask about those products. We do not sell them!
We recently have been receiving many phone calls and emails from people who read posts about a particular product on these discussion boards, and then call us because they think we may somehow sell or be involved with that product.
We only sell Lamas Beauty shampoos and skincare products. For a listing of products we sell, please visit our homepage.
Please do not call us about other products that people may talk about on these discussion boards. Our Customer Service department will not be able to discuss any products with you other than Lamas Beauty products. While people here may discuss or express opinions about other beauty or weightloss products, we have no information or connection with any products but our own, so please do not call us about those other products.

As far as support products I would suggest you use a shampoo that does not contain Sodium Chloride. You should use a moisturizer after shampooing and a leave in after towel drying. I usually will recommend that my clients continue to use a smoothing product and heat protection if drying or ironing.
The keratin seals the hair. When the BKT is new there should be no need to deep condition. Regular moisture is important.
If you shampoo frequently, the BKT will wear off faster.
We always guarantee our work and insist that a client notify us of any issues they may have. Since I am not doing the BKT, I cannot guarantee it for you. You will have to speak with Jan. If there were any problems, we would always redo it if necessary. Since you will be leaving town soon afterwards, that could be a problem.
I would suggest creating the best possible scenario for the treatment.
I know we discussed the porosity of your hair. I was told that you intend to highlight as well as using the texture product we discussed.
I would strongly suggest you do the texturizing first then have the highlights done. I would also suggest you have all of the hair colored at that time, even if the other hair is colored to your natural color.
This will balance out the porosity of the hair and it will be more even for the BKT. I would also strongly suggest that you have a very experienced colorist do the coloring for you. If the hair is severely degraded, it may be too weak to accept the BKT.
I know that sometimes people will say that the more trashed the hair is, the better the BKT will be.
I disagree. If the hair is TOO trashed, it is too weak to receive the treatment and have it stay for any length of time.
If the hair is healthy, I suggest the client have a Thermal Reconditioning Straightening. When the hair is very curly and very healthy, the BKT will not last long.
As for how long I have been doing this process, I have been doing them since February. I have been doing TRs for 7 years and relaxing hair for 25 years.
