PLEASE READ:

If you have come to this site on a web search for beauty or weightloss products -- please do not call us to ask about those products. We do not sell them!

We recently have been receiving many phone calls and emails from people who read posts about a particular product on these discussion boards, and then call us because they think we may somehow sell or be involved with that product.

We only sell Lamas Beauty shampoos and skincare products. For a listing of products we sell, please visit our homepage.

Please do not call us about other products that people may talk about on these discussion boards. Our Customer Service department will not be able to discuss any products with you other than Lamas Beauty products. While people here may discuss or express opinions about other beauty or weightloss products, we have no information or connection with any products but our own, so please do not call us about those other products.

Thank you.

Hi dina,
After a BKT you should use a demi or semi color like Redken Shades EQ.
Using permanent color can strip the BKT off of your hair.

In a previous post by Nicolle, she explained to you about saturation of the hair. She is right! I am the one who did her first BKT and it did not turn out as expected. Luckily it was redone later, by her regular stylist in Joliet, and at that time it was over saturated and the results were good.
I now ALWAYS use a lot of product on those fine, fragile heads of hair, and the results are amazing.
Several months ago, when BKT was new to this country, the training was that the hair must not be over saturated with the product. This is not the case for fine fragile hair. Through trial and error the proper technique for fine hair is to over saturate the hair and to use a bit less heat. It really makes the hair sticky for the first 4 days but afterwards the results will be much better.

I would call your stylist and explain to her that you are not happy with the results. If you do not feel that you received a satisfactory response, ask to speak with the salon owner.

The BKT is not an exact science. We cannot determine exactly what the hair is doing, and what the final results will be until it is shampooed 4 days later. We can only learn from each experience and apply what has been learned to future heads of hair.

All in all the process is amazing for the right heads of hair and if one has healthy hair and wants to be straight all of the time, I will always suggest getting a TR.

Denise
