I know someone who paid $600 for BKT and I almost hit the ceiling for that "high price". I also have a client that I charged $375 but should have been charged $600 because of the mass of hair she had. BUT I figured that her bi-weekly appointment would make things even. I would not charge over $400 for a BKT. BKT is half the time in the service of the TR and so therefore be half the cost. And it "lasts" half the time of TR. I do have a BKT that is going on 4 months now and she still does not need to have it done again yet. So...how long does a good BKT really last??? My BKT price ranges from $175-$350, TR price ranges from $300-$600. Price is determined based on the condition of the hair not how long it takes me to do it. BKT should take 2 hours to do. So if price is at $100hr thats $200.
I want to see my BKT as well as TR clients once a month for deep conditioning if possible to make sure that they are doing what we discussed and if my job is holding as I predicted. Since I have clients in CA, whenever I go back I would like to see them even if they just drop by on their lunch break to make sure everything is ok. So far so good.
