I feel your frustration. I too had my BKT done by a highly recommended salon, especially highly recommended by this board. I had it done on 8/17th and the 1st couple of days I just flat iron every morning and it looked pretty good. However, today my hair looks so wavy and frizzy I was so surprised because the reason I did this treatment was because I hate the humidity and thought my hair wouldn't get frizzy and would remain straight but today is was very wavy and frizzy and it has only been a week. I haven't even done my 1st wash yet, tomorrow I will be washing my hair for the 1st time and I am sooooooooooooo afraid what my hair will look like. I truly feel the price is not worth it. I had a TR done previously and at least that lasted around 6 months.
By the way, my hair is totally damaged, very frizzy, colored and curly. Therefore, I really thought with all the advertisement on the BKT that I would be a PERFECT candidate for this and yet so far I am so disappointed. My stylist was so convincing that this treatment would work for me. The BKT has helped the condition of my hair but it hasn't help matters as far as humidity is concerned - my hair still is getting wavy and frizzy - hope I haven't discouraged too many people but I think I will be sticking to TR.
I wonder if you wait to wash your hair like we did, does that make matters worse? Most people wash their hair after the 4 day waiting period. I thought by waiting longer it would be better but apparently not. By the way, my hair never felt greasy or smelled like some of the people on the board complained about.
Sorry for the long post, but I could really go on and on about this because I am really upset, especially with all the money I spent on this.
