Subject: TR after perm gone wrong!!
Date: August 13, 2007 at 10:08 am PST

Hello again! I posted yesterday about getting hair TR'd after using a certain chemical. Thank you to the experts that answered my ?'s. However, I have another one! I've had my hair TR'd 5 times since 2002 and I got a little bored of the straight hair look so I decided to get some soft waves put back in. The Japanese girl that did my previous TR's told me that there was a perm made specifically for TR'd hair and that it was very mild. Long story short......I had what she called a Cosmetic Curl perm done in February. She told me that it only last about 3 months (because it's so mild). Well, it didn't last 24 hours. My hair was now straight and frizzy! Not good! Well, now I'm back to blow drying and flat-ironing my hair. I get it perfectly straight that way, but I miss the ease of my TR'd hair. I had asked her when I can straighten it again and she just told me wait a few months. How many months that meant, I don't know. Well, it's been 6 months since then and I chopped off at least 8 inches of my hair (not happy about that!!). Would anyone know if it would be safe to TR now. I'm thinking maybe because the stylist told me the perm solution was extremely mild and it didn't take anyway. Just frizzed out my hair a bit! Sorry this is so long. Just don't want to take any crazy chances with my hair.

I appreciate your responses. Thank you again in advance!
