Had my digital perm from Hidy at Hidy Hair in late April. I continue to LOVE my hair and probably will never go back to a traditional straight TR.
While my hair is still damp I apply my usual products (alternate between Sebastian Potion No 9 or Texturizer along with a good heat protectant and sometimes a bit of oil on the ends) and then I twist the hair softly in small sections and let it air dry. If I want a really polished finish, after it is completely dry I use a curling iron for some random curls. That's it. (I should note that once or twice a month I do a good deep condition/protein treatment.)
Denise was correct in that there has been some small amount of "reversion" - i.e. it can frizz a small amount in the right situation (after I workout or swim), but normally with styling products on I get nice loose curls all over my head.
Hope this is helpful for anyone thinking about this procedure. I have read some posts here complaining of the lack of info on digi-perms. Keep in mind there are VERY few salons that offer this. Not sure why although I have read that the process has not been translated to English yet? I of course highly recommend Hidy Hair. (FYI - my "normal" hair is very curly from the root with frizz. I also do all over color to cover the dreaded grey roots and have a few highlights also now just in the front.)
