0.1 is 10% and BKT in the USA is .02 or .05 which is 2% or 5% respectively so in most cases it is less than 1/2 of the % of the Brazilian formulation maybe even a lot less.
Actually, some Brazilians just use straight formaldehyde of formulations of way higher than 10%, like 100% OR 25 - 50% which is a lot of formaldehyde
Contact the BKT people directly (see braziliankeratin.com) for their contact info. Ask for their msds sheets and any other safety testing data they have done and the % of the formaldehyde. Since most of the people here are using M&M's BKT system you should at least direct your inquiries to the company that manufactures the product since it doesn't seem based on the posts here that a lot of people are familiar with percentages, math, formulations and/or chemistry of any kind.
It's fine to be concerned but you must be open to learning as well and true facts.
Remember basic math - .02 is 2% (move decimal 2 places always).. and 0.1 is 10% and .2 is 20% and .3 is 30%.
If you don't think it matters, next time you get a raise would you want a 0.1 increase or .02? So you'd get 10% or 2%? Big difference.
.01 is 1%, .02 is 2% blah blah blah.
I know decimals and % confuse people but just always take the number and move decimal 2 places to get a % out of a decimal.
