PLEASE READ:

If you have come to this site on a web search for beauty or weightloss products -- please do not call us to ask about those products. We do not sell them!

We recently have been receiving many phone calls and emails from people who read posts about a particular product on these discussion boards, and then call us because they think we may somehow sell or be involved with that product.

We only sell Lamas Beauty shampoos and skincare products. For a listing of products we sell, please visit our homepage.

Please do not call us about other products that people may talk about on these discussion boards. Our Customer Service department will not be able to discuss any products with you other than Lamas Beauty products. While people here may discuss or express opinions about other beauty or weightloss products, we have no information or connection with any products but our own, so please do not call us about those other products.

Thank you.

Subject: TR, stylist's shampoos necessary?
Date: July 24, 2007 at 4:35 pm PST

I'm going to get my hair thermally reconditioned in a few days for the first time. My hair is naturally curly (and I don't mean wavy like some girls who call their hair "curly," I mean curly.), frizzy, and thick, and I had it relaxed a couple years ago so the stylist took a test strand which she said turned out perfect. She recommended that I buy the shampoo (8 oz, $15), conditioner (8 oz, $15), and some sort of smoothing spray (?, $12) to use after my TR, but are these really necessary? I mean that's $42 that I really don't have to spend, plus I want to be able to smell the shampoo scent of my choice for the first time (all I can usually smell is gel and hairspray. ugh!)

And if they aren't necessary, what sort of store-bought products should I use? Moistorizing, conditioning? I'm currently using Herbal Essences Dangerously Straight S/C and spray [which, by the way, the spray is amazing! I can get my hair stick straight with an iron (but it takes an hour), and this helps it stay that way.]

I would love to be able to just use regular S/C (so many more scent possibilities =]), but that's probably too much to ask for. But is it possible?

Sorry I wrote so much, but any help is MUCH appreciated!
