I used to work out and then would shower the next morning (just because I like to be showered in the morning before work instead of taking one shower at 9pm and another at 5am) .. but even before TR and BKT, when I just highlighted my hair, I saw a HUGE difference in the damage that the sweat did to my hair. When I started showering directly after working out including shampoo and conditioner, and then the next morning another shower using conditioner only, my hair was in MUCH better shape.

it was then that I realized the salt in sweat is more damaging to the follicles than to the scalp. ..just imagine soaking your hair in salt water and then just leaving it there. anyone want to do an experiment? That cannot be good for it.

So I do recommend that immediately after any time you exercise to the point where your hair is saturated with sweat, you at LEAST at the VERY very least do a good rinse moisturize and rinse again with cold water.

Please get the salt and residue off your hair, processed or not, asap.

Also, I read that brushing 100X every day is bad for your hair and actually causes breakage. I don't know if this is true as I've never had the patience or the time to sit there lovingly brushing my hair for 100 strokes a section but still... I read on hair article written by some expert or another that is a myth and it is not good for your hair. i can't comment on whether this is true or not.

I do know Jojoba oil is the most closely related to our natural sebum for skin and hair. So after washing and conditioning when I had my peroxide hair I always just would comb some thru and let it dry naturally. It did make a big difference.

I'm all for showering.. soap soap soap. I'm around thousands of people every day on the train and at work and you can smell unwashed hair!

If you don't expose yourself to other people than unless your significant other cares, shower and use shampoo whenever it appeals to you.
