I have to admit, I was shocked when I read this poor review of the Patrick Evan Salon. I have been going to Patrick for Thermal Reconditioning for the past 5 years now. I LOVE my hair and the results of every TR that I have had.
I have watched him train other people and have had them all help with my TR process. Every single person in his salon doing TRs or helping with them are very detail oriented and accommodating and super nice! I really wouldnít trust any other salon to do a TR on my hair since I have seen so many other girls walk into Patrickís salon with over processed hair from a TR in another salon.
The only time I had satisfactory results, was when Lindsay once did my hair when she was still at Patrick Evanís. It was slightly under-processed. Patrick brought me in the following week and fixed it with out a fuss. He also, for free of charge, has had me come into the salon for deep conditionings to keep my hair extra healthy.
I also noticed, there was a follow-up post recommending going to Lindsay and Dax. Don't get me wrong, they are great people and do great work, but it's important to point out, Patrick trained them both.
If I was you, MAJ, I would be happy my hair was slightly under-processed than over-processed and fried. It sounds like you had hair that was in need of being extra cautious and extra care. I know for me, parts of my hair have different degrees of waves/curls and a big noticeable cowlick. The process time is slightly different for certain parts of my hair. I was just in the salon this past week for a touch up and Ayla was helping Patrick in the process. She was very detail oriented and cautious to make sure not to over process my hair.
As for the price, I think his salon charges the normal rate. How long is your hair? Now if your hair is really long and as you said you have put a rinse in it, I understand them for wanting to charge more. Itís a long process- normally taking 3 or more hours for hair just below the shoulders. I think as a customer, itís important to remember they have a lot of back end costs they incur and put a lot of time into each customer.
I only trust going to Patrick Evanís salon and would recommend anyone wanting a TR to go in and speak with them.
