If you have come to this site on a web search for beauty or weightloss products -- please do not call us to ask about those products. We do not sell them!
We recently have been receiving many phone calls and emails from people who read posts about a particular product on these discussion boards, and then call us because they think we may somehow sell or be involved with that product.
We only sell Lamas Beauty shampoos and skincare products. For a listing of products we sell, please visit our homepage.
Please do not call us about other products that people may talk about on these discussion boards. Our Customer Service department will not be able to discuss any products with you other than Lamas Beauty products. While people here may discuss or express opinions about other beauty or weightloss products, we have no information or connection with any products but our own, so please do not call us about those other products.

First of all it does not sound like your first TR was a success. Of course you do not say the condition of your hair. A TR is always better if the condition of the hair is good. The healthier the hair, the better the TR. I always say bring me a perfect head of hair and you will have a perfect TR. All the non perfect heads of hair, in relatively healthy condition, can look perfect with tweaking by using the proper products and a quick iron finish.
Since your 11 year old niece has healthy hair, she would benefit much more from a TR. It would last a lot longer than a BKT.
I don't think that you would be risking her life by doing this process, any more than you would exposing her to new carpeting or fresh paint or hair color or the smell of a perm. The BKT does have a pungent smell and if one is sensitive it can make your eyes water. As long as the stylist properly applies the product and there is good ventilation, there will not be any problems. My clients do not experience any discomfort at all. I have my clients wear a mask and they always ask If they can take it off because they do not even smell the product. The experience of getting a BKT is in the hands of the caring stylist.
The results are amazing and clients with damaged or porous hair love the results. Many are TR clients who have switched to the BKT. They could have mediocre TRs or beautiful BKTs.
Since this process is so new, there is only a "handful" of salons doing the process. I am not aware of any salons in Mississippi that are doing BKTs.
