Subject: To the experts regarding hair type, types of flat irons and maximum temperature
Date: June 10, 2007 at 3:36 pm PST
I have thick, coarse, wavy hair. Currently I am using the Tourmaline 2 inch flat iron which goes up to 410 degrees. I truly feel that my hair is very resistant and can handle a hotter temperature. I'm getting ready to replace it and I want to make the right decision on a new one.
Of course I use heat protectant, etc. Is there a flat iron that I can purchase on line that goes up to 450 degrees and if so, what type? I always have my straightener now on the highest temperature and still I have to run it through my hair multiple times. I am thinking of the GHD but I cannot see information on it's maximum temperature.
It is also important to me that a flat iron be fairly light weight as my poor arms get a bit tired. Any suggestions??
