If you have come to this site on a web search for beauty or weightloss products -- please do not call us to ask about those products. We do not sell them!

We recently have been receiving many phone calls and emails from people who read posts about a particular product on these discussion boards, and then call us because they think we may somehow sell or be involved with that product.

We only sell Lamas Beauty shampoos and skincare products. For a listing of products we sell, please visit our homepage.

Please do not call us about other products that people may talk about on these discussion boards. Our Customer Service department will not be able to discuss any products with you other than Lamas Beauty products. While people here may discuss or express opinions about other beauty or weightloss products, we have no information or connection with any products but our own, so please do not call us about those other products.

Thank you.

I posted the article because I think it is important we're all educated at least in the chemical itself.

Chlorine is much more dangerous and people drink it in their water and swim it, thereby absorbing it.

We all pick our poisons but formaldehyde is not a new chemical, not newly used, and neither is chlorine, bleach etc. I think the Thio is likely newer than formaldehyde in beauty products.

And as far as safety, it is very difficult to pin down danger to one chemical. If we get cancer it is just as easily caused by the food we eat and the air we breathe. We are around toxins daily.

and finally, my drinking water comes from a large city well.. It has been tested safe by the EPA except as far as radon but only slightly above acceptable. Since moving here and using this water 5 years ago, my husband has has been diagnosed with liver problems (never drank, smoke or did drugs), I have had a cat and dog diagnosed with hepatitis (non infectious via biopsy results), one of my birds and another dog die of liver cancer, and 2 dogs diagnosed with a liver either too big or too small. In all my years of Chicago water not one problem like this.

Now we're all on spring water. I tried to call the EPA etc but there is no way to pin it to the water and they advised me it would cost me thousands to even try.

I have to say, however, that I am a drinker and my liver is fine. That which does not kill us makes us stronger, huh?

ANYWAY, we pick our poisons but we should be educated and not just decide a product because it is new to a system is dangerous. This ingredient has been used for a long time in many products. It is by no means new.

I like to live on the edge I guess and that's my own decision. I definitely read up on every product and make my own decisions just like I encourage everyone else to do.

I don't make decisions for people but I hope I make them think.

If I get cancer tomorrow I have plenty of other lifestyle choices I think I'd blame before BKT.
