If you have come to this site on a web search for beauty or weightloss products -- please do not call us to ask about those products. We do not sell them!

We recently have been receiving many phone calls and emails from people who read posts about a particular product on these discussion boards, and then call us because they think we may somehow sell or be involved with that product.

We only sell Lamas Beauty shampoos and skincare products. For a listing of products we sell, please visit our homepage.

Please do not call us about other products that people may talk about on these discussion boards. Our Customer Service department will not be able to discuss any products with you other than Lamas Beauty products. Subject: Looking for hair protection for swimming. Anyone tried Redken UV Rescue line?
Date: May 25, 2007 at 2:54 am PST

Yesterday, I bought a bottle of the UV Rescue Shimmering Defense daily protective lotion for my daughter to use on her TR'd hair before swimming to try to protect it from absorbing chlorine. (She's going to a pool party next weekend.) Has anyone ever tried this product for this purpose and did it work? Here's a link to a description of the product line on the Redken site: http://www.redken.com/products/displayBrand.cfm?b=277.

I had been going to try Kerastase Gelee Aqua, which someone recommended to me on this board last summer, but it was $34 for a small bottle, and I can't afford that. Last summer I used Matrix Sunsorials on my relaxed hair before swimming, and it did a so-so job, but my hair still absorbed some chlorine. Even swimmer's shampoo had trouble getting it out. We spend a lot of time at the pool and beach during the summer, and this will be our first summer with both of us having TR (I'm getting my first TR next Thursday), so I want the best protection possible. Does anyone have recommendations?

Thank you!
