LamasBeauty.com | Back to Discussion Board
If you have come to this site on a web search for beauty or weightloss products -- please do not call us to ask about those products. We do not sell them!
We recently have been receiving many phone calls and emails from people who read posts about a particular product on these discussion boards, and then call us because they think we may somehow sell or be involved with that product.
We only sell Lamas Beauty shampoos and skincare products. For a listing of products we sell, please visit our homepage.
Please do not call us about other products that people may talk about on these discussion boards. Our Customer Service department will not be able to discuss any products with you other than Lamas Beauty products. While people here may discuss or express opinions about other beauty or weightloss products, we have no information or connection with any products but our own, so please do not call us about those other products.

I think that Lisa has covered about all of the answers.
Lisa, you are a treasure. I know I have said it before but it is so nice to have someone post here who can see things from both the hair stylist point of view as well as the clients.
I do agree that the Aquage Beyond Shine is quite light. If someone finds it to be too light, I always suggest the CHI Shine Infusion.
CHI and Matrix also make a spray on iron guard. They both work well.
Of course that heat protection is only for ironing. If you are a blow drying kind of person, you need to use a different form of heat protection. I also think the ID can eventually dry out the hair a bit.
One of my favorite heat protectors is Redken Heat Glide. I have heard many good things about the GHD.
When a BKT is done, like Lisa said, a stylist must not over or under saturate the hair. If there is not enough product on the hair and it is not distributed evenly, you can absolutely fry the hair with the iron.
That is one of the tricky parts of BKT that must be learned. Learning how long to iron the hair is vital as well.
At this point, I am learning how to determine just how much product and ironing each head needs. I make a record of what was done and I am recording how long it takes before the client starts to see and feel a difference.
Many people have dry hair before the BKT and when it starts to wear off, the dry ends return. They just forget how that hair felt since it has been so great for the last 2-3 months!
It would be alright to get another BKT at any time.
One of my clients told me that she will do the same thing she does with her Botox injections. She will have it done again BEFORE it completely wears off.
