LamasBeauty.com | Back to Discussion Board
If you have come to this site on a web search for beauty or weightloss products -- please do not call us to ask about those products. We do not sell them!
We recently have been receiving many phone calls and emails from people who read posts about a particular product on these discussion boards, and then call us because they think we may somehow sell or be involved with that product.
We only sell Lamas Beauty shampoos and skincare products. For a listing of products we sell, please visit our homepage.
Please do not call us about other products that people may talk about on these discussion boards. Our Customer Service department will not be able to discuss any products with you other than Lamas Beauty products. While people here may discuss or express opinions about other beauty or weightloss products, we have no information or connection with any products but our own, so please do not call us about those other products.

The amount of formaldehyde in Marcia Texeria BKT is .05%vol which is well below the limit allowed . A salon in South Florida had OSHA come in and measure the formaldehyde levels in the salon and it measured safe.
I know that if too much product is applied, the hair is dryed at a high heat and a high airflow is utilized the fumes will be much stronger than if a cool dryer and low airflow is used. The hair must be totally dryed before ironing or the fumes will be slightly stronger.
The original Brazilian Treatment that was brought over to the US and was extremely toxic. Alot of the info is on this bootleg version.
We have not experienced the level of discomfort spoken about and none of the clients have compalined about the fumes. We are extremely careful about what we use in the salon and I have researched this for quite a while . It has received FDA approval and I feel okay with that.
We are exposed to chemicals all day long and many of us develop severe nsitivities to everyday products. I know many hairstylists who can not be around hair color or artificial nails without discomfort . I personally can not tolerate hairspray and get chest pains if exposed for too long.(Thank God we do not use alot of spray in the shop)
If there was information out there saying BKT was unsafe we would NOT offer it. I hope this helps out.
