I had a CHI straightening almost a month ago. It was my first TR & I've had a great experience.
My hair is naturally curly & VERY prone to frizz. My stylist used the CHI #2 because I color every 4-6 weeks (single process) & had highlights about 18 mos ago.
She washed & dried my hair to see how my curls fell. Applied the solution & let it sit for 17 min. Shampoo, condition, blow dry w/ the big round brush & flat iron. She went over each section 3x. She then reapplied the solution & left it on for 5 min. Again, shampoo, leave conditioner on for 5 min, blow dry w/ the brush & flat iron & VOILA! Silky, shiny straight hair!
I couldn't wash my hair for 72 hrs (roughly---I had it done on a Saturday & got to wash on Tues morning). My first wash was kind of scary because I was worried about breakage etc. No problem w/ breakage at all (knock wood). I used my blow dryer the first couple weeks & had to relearn how to style my hair.
I wash every other day & condition (CHI shamp & conditioner) followed by the spray leave-in keratin mist. Then I use the silk infusion.
2 weeks ago I was brave enough to wash my hair & let it air dry. It was straight & so soft! Now I dry the front (my little swoopy bang) & let the rest airdry.
Having it done was the best thing I've done---I honestly love my hair again!
