Can you email me where you had your hair TR'd and BKT?
Your protein regimen doesn't sound too bad as long as you're also following it up with moisture.
I don't know if this is true or not but on the Mizani wheel for their salon conditioners indicate that no protein for thio damage and only moisture but sodium hydroxide needs protein because thio strips moisture and Sodium Hydroxide strips protein. In fact, one hairdresser that specializes at conditioning at my salon indicated that too much protein can actually DAMAGE TR'd hair. For really fried out bleach blonde hair clients that come in she always does a Mizani treatment and then seals with with PM Shines by Paul Mitchell and she said it works wonders.
So when my hair was dry following optismooth I did a Mizani treatment, stayed away from protein conditioners (some protein in some of mine but not protein only) and stuck to moisturizing ones (my hairdresser gave me free moisture only ones too) and when I came back for my second haircut after TR (2 months in) she said my ends looked fine and my hair looked SO much better.. like it was never dry. It feels fine now.
So basically, protein is disputable but just be sure you're infusing with moisture too.
I like the Sebastian Penetraitt Leslie recommends. I bought it from his site. Leslie has some really nice products on his site so check it out and maybe he can make recommendations.
I also do the Ouidad Deep Treatment on occasion and every few weeks do either a protein or moisture under heat (I bought a home bonnet dryer).
I'd go to another hairdresser that specializes in TR to look at your hair. I recommend either Vincent J (Florida) or Leslie in New York to see if they can help. Are you near either one of them?
Can you email me privately the name of the salons that did the work on your hair (the BKT and tr?)
