PLEASE READ:

If you have come to this site on a web search for beauty or weightloss products -- please do not call us to ask about those products. We do not sell them!

We recently have been receiving many phone calls and emails from people who read posts about a particular product on these discussion boards, and then call us because they think we may somehow sell or be involved with that product.

We only sell Lamas Beauty shampoos and skincare products. For a listing of products we sell, please visit our homepage.

Please do not call us about other products that people may talk about on these discussion boards. Our Customer Service department will not be able to discuss any products with you other than Lamas Beauty products. While people here may discuss or express opinions about other beauty or weightloss products, we have no information or connection with any products but our own, so please do not call us about those other products.

Thank you.

Nano Keratinization... is a process of re-keratinizing the hair. It uses vials of liquid protein which are "spun" into a nano molecule. Since the molecule is so incredibly small, it can slide in between the outside layer of the hair, called the cuticle. The cuticle is not opened, and no chemicals are used. The protein becomes a fine mist. The company that makes this is named "TANAGRA". Once the protein has been added into the internal structure, a LIGHTLY WARM iron is run over the hair to make sure there is no moisture in the hair. The iron is not hot at all. In the next step, a sealer is applied, using the same process as the protein. The sealer does not penetrate the cuticle. It sits on the outside of the cuticle. Once the sealer is applied, the process is done. It is recommended to have this treatment done 3 times. If your hair is curly, this WILL NOT make it straight.

Now...
Brazilian Keratin Treatment

In this process, the hair is clarified, dried, the protein is applied and the hair is dried again. Then the hair is ironed with a flat iron. The iron temperature is 450 degrees. This process WILL MAKE THE HAIR STRAIGHT. The keratin coats the hair. Every time you shampoo, a small amount of the keratin shampoos away and eventually the hair returns to it's original state. If the hair is unhealthy, dry, broken, etc. The BTK will make it very nice and straight, shiny and healthy looking. This process does not change the internal structure of the hair. It does not penetrate the cuticle. It does not restructure any of the bonds in the cortex of the hair. When it is gone from the hair, it can be done again. The life span varies from head to head, but the average time is 3 months.

These treatment are in no way like a TR which is a chemical straightening. It DOES open the cuticle of the hair. It DOES break the disulfide bonds and rearrange them. It DOES NOT wash out or off. It is permanent.

I hope this has helped.

It is great to have choices.
