Subject: Nervous about dying my TR'ed hair blonde
Date: March 5, 2007 at 1:44 pm PST
I have TR'ed hair which is due for a touch-up very soon. I used to have blonde highlights, but grew them out before I had my hair TR'ed so that I could get the TR done on virgin hair. None of the hair on my head right now is dyed. I have extremely thick, dry, curly hair, most of which is TR'ed except for about 7 months' worth of regrowth.
I'd like to start coloring my hair blonde again. I'm worried about how to manage this while also getting TR done on my hair. I would not be able to get highlights--I'd have to dye it a single color, correct? Also, my TR'ed hair is not terribly healthy and I'm concerned that coloring it will damage it even more, especially since going blonde seems to be harsh on the hair. Of course I know I need to talk to my stylist about this, but I'm wondering if anyone has any experience/advice.
