Subject: Relaxer for regrowth instead of TR?
Date: February 9, 2007 at 11:04 pm PST
I had/have thick, moderately curly hair. Worse than that, was/is the extreme frizz and "tweek" of my hair in response to damp weather. I chose to have a TR treatment done last August. I think that as far as TR's go, mine was probably very good. My hair was bone straight, shiney, and a texture that I never thought my hair could be. The problem was that it had NO body at all. I constantly looked like a wet rat. It took about two months before I could style it with body. However, I LOVED!!!! that everytime I went outside in damp weather, my hair did not move! It was fantastic! For the first time in my life, my hair didn't dictate where I went. It has been 6 months and I am beginning, especially in the front and bang area, to get those "bad hair days" again. My question is... Are there any straightening/relaxing treatments that can be done on the regrowth that will not give me bone straight hair, but will tame the tweek and frizz in damp weather. I am hoping that there is a product that is compatible with TR so that if I don't like it, I could go back for a TR touch up. (Sorry for the long post.)
