If you have come to this site on a web search for beauty or weightloss products -- please do not call us to ask about those products. We do not sell them!

We only sell Lamas Beauty shampoos and skincare products. For a listing of products we sell, please visit our homepage.

Please do not call us about other products that people may talk about on these discussion boards. Our Customer Service department will not be able to discuss any products with you other than Lamas Beauty products. Thank you.

Subject: To Denise or other ''perm'' experts; perm didn't take well
Date: December 2, 2006 at 5:15 am PST

I have always worn a ''curly'' perm. Retired stylist used purple and white rods, original Biolage acid perm and processed perm under the dryer for 15 minutes. Went to new stylist who used gray and white rods (somewhat smaller), original Biolage acid perm, and because I have been concerned about my hair changing these past couple of years which I believe is due to perimenopause(seems to be somewhat drier, texture somewhat finer and hair is ''soft''),she processed the perm by having me sit under the drier for about 5 minutes just to warm it up and then had me process the remaining time with a plastic cap only. I had not had a perm for almost 2 years when I went to have this one done. This recent perm is very weak even with the smaller rods. Some places are basically straight and the sections that did curl are curly on the last 2/3rds of the strand up the upper 1/3 closest to the scalp is straight as a string. Do you think that not processing under the drier for the entire time could have caused this or possibly that she wrapped the sections in larger sections than my old stylist? Would it hurt to re-perm in a couple of months?
