If you have come to this site on a web search for beauty or weightloss products -- please do not call us to ask about those products. We do not sell them!
We recently have been receiving many phone calls and emails from people who read posts about a particular product on these discussion boards, and then call us because they think we may somehow sell or be involved with that product.
We only sell Lamas Beauty shampoos and skincare products. For a listing of products we sell, please visit our homepage.
Please do not call us about other products that people may talk about on these discussion boards. Our Customer Service department will not be able to discuss any products with you other than Lamas Beauty products. While people here may discuss or express opinions about other beauty or weightloss products, we have no information or connection with any products but our own, so please do not call us about those other products.

There are many companies that are claiming new perming processes. If hair is naturally straight or just slightly wavy, these may work for you. However, this old perming technology will not do anything for the average TR client.
It is all about the bonds inside the hair shaft and how to move them around to the shape or position that is desired. This will never be an exact science until we can see into the hair shaft while we do the process. Perhaps someone will invent an ultrasound machine for hair, oneday. Until then, it is all an educated guess.
There are so many things that can and do go wrong with traditional perming, and most young hairstylists do not have a clue how to perm hair. They prefer not to do them. So not only are they not familiar with the old technology, they are also not interested in the new technology. It will take the older stylists like myself, to guide them.
Perming hair is as technical as a TR, but over the years perms have been given a bad rap. Most of this came from the perms not being done properly. A TR is a wonderful process, when done properly, and so is a perm.
Some hair types can achieve beautiful results from a traditional perm, some will need new technology.
It is imperative that you find someone who is experienced in perming hair, and understands the chemistry and the new technology.
I think digital perming is wonderful. It is very different from traditional perming. More bonds are rearranged and then processed on ceramic rods with heat. I have started doing these and I am still working out all of the possibilities. So much depends on the hair type you start with, as in a TR.
As with everything, it is experience and knowledge that you are looking for when it comes to chemical work.
