What shampoos are you using? At present L'Oréal Vive for both shampoo and conditioner for highlighted hair.
Have you used? Garnier Fructis, Trésemmé, Pantene, and some other shampoo that I can't remember the name of that was to clean build-up in hair
How often do you shampoo? Everyday
How is your skin? Dry in patches, but near time of month still can get a blemish
Is that oily also? not usually....no
What is the climate where you live? Northern SC temps in fall are 60 degrees in day 32 degrees at night
Do you have any allergies or hormone issues? No allergies, produced an overabundance of estrogen and very little progesterone ever since a teen.
When you shampoo, do you wash the hair or scalp or both? YES!!
Do you massage the scalp? YES
Do you have any cysts on your scalp? No
Any bald patches? No
Psoriasis? I don't believe so, although at the back of head nearer the base of neck always been a bit itchy, but no grease is ever in that spot
What is you ethnic background? 1/2 Romanian, the other half European mix
What do you do when styling your hair. Products, blow dryers?? I will allow my hair to airdry for about an hour before drying it. My hair length is not quite to the base of my neck, but I have a lot of hair which is fine and takes awhile to dry. I find that if I blowdry it immediately, it takes forever to dry, but if I wait 30 minutes to an hour, it takes a lot less to dry. I will keep it in a towel for about 15 minutes and then brush it and leave it for another 15 minutes to 45 minutes before I blowdry it. I used to use Care Free Curl Gold (instant activator with moisturizers/dual conditioning for natural or curly hair/ 99.9% oil free), but I haven't used it in two months. I used it on the bottom areas of my hair where it gets heavy, but never near the base of my scalp at the top where it's greasy. I guess I had discontinued using almost everything trying to figure out what the culprit was. I had used just TWICE GArnier Fructis Style Fiber Gum putty to give manageability to my half-wavy half-curly hair, but wondered if that product was the culprit. I discontinued use. I used it back in the spring and haven't used it since. However, I have had my hair highlighted twice since then where it has dried out the greasy spot and the spot has returned again, so I am not sure. Also, just wanted to mention that we do not have a water softener in our house, so I didn't think that was the issue either. I also used Trésemmé hair spray (extra hold) using it very lightly, but only use it at the front and sides of my hair. Hope this will give more insight to you.
Hey, thanks again for taking the time to help me! You have no idea how much I appreciate your help!!!! =)
