If you have come to this site on a web search for beauty or weightloss products -- please do not call us to ask about those products. We do not sell them!
We recently have been receiving many phone calls and emails from people who read posts about a particular product on these discussion boards, and then call us because they think we may somehow sell or be involved with that product.
We only sell Lamas Beauty shampoos and skincare products. For a listing of products we sell, please visit our homepage.
Please do not call us about other products that people may talk about on these discussion boards. Our Customer Service department will not be able to discuss any products with you other than Lamas Beauty products. While people here may discuss or express opinions about other beauty or weightloss products, we have no information or connection with any products but our own, so please do not call us about those other products.

Subject: Opti-Smooth, Where have you been all my life?!
Date: October 4, 2006 at 3:24 pm PST
I had the Opti-Smooth (hot) treatment done on Saturday by Jennifer Walters at Hair Benders in Panama City Beach and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it!!!
My hair was curly, frizzy and always looked casual, juvenile, and unprofessional! Even when I blew it straight, as soon as I walked outside in this Florida humidity- poof, it looked like crap again. After reading many of the responses on this and other sites, I decided it couldn't get any worse so I should go ahead and risk it.
Four hours and $450 later, I was a new woman!!! My hair was silky, smooth and best of all curl and frizz FREE!!! I got SOOO many compliments. I could not help but constantly run my fingers through it! The hard part is for 48 hours, you can't wash or wet your hair, or put any bands or barrettes in it or even tuck it behind your ears. By day two, my hair was quite oily- but still straight and frizz free!
I just washed my hair for the first time and I started to let it air dry and it was drying STRAIGHT, but I got too anxious and got out the previously despised blow dryer. Less than five minutes later, with NO brush- just running my fingers through it- I have STRAIGHT, BEAUTIFUL hair!!!
So, I don't know why some women have had bad experiences with this- the lady I had do mine does them all the time and has never had a dissatisfied customer. She gave me a few tips to pass along:
1. You MUST use a LICENSED stylist with experience.
2. Be wary if someone charges less than $75-100 an hour- it may not be the bargain you are hoping for!
3. You MUST tell your stylist if you have had ANY color or highlights.
4. You MUST follow all the rules for the first 48 hours.
5. You MUST use the reccommended shampoo/conditioner. (Matrix Sleek look)
6. Try Silk Infusion by CHI- it is a better styling product than the Matrix products.
So, all of you women who hate your curly hair and are considering having it thermally reconditioned / Japenese straightened- DO IT!!! Hopefully you will be as thrilled as I am!
